Our client is a forward thinking Top 60 practice located conveniently in the City working with a wide portfolio of clients in several industries.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the Audit Semi-Senior are:
- Work within a team on audit assignments
- Gaining a deeper understanding of auditing standards and procedures
- Participate and run smaller audit assignments independently
- Preparing statutory accounts
- Management accounts preparation
- VAT Returns
- Drafting financial statements in compliance with company standards
- Mentoring Juniors on the Auditing process
- Drafting reports covering financial statements, client business issues, systems and controls
- To work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Perform other related duties as required.
The Candidate
- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA
- Sound experience in audit file preparation
- Strong double entry accounting knowledge and basic bookkeeping skills
- Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
- To be able to communicate and work effectively with Clients, Managers, Partners and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven experience of preparing statutory accounts and management accounts
- Competent user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- It is desirable that the candidate has previous knowledge of Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks and Xero.
